Emily graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a minor in Communication, and a minor in Women & Gender Studies from Arizona State University (ASU) in May of 2023. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was honored with the Moeur Award for maintaining and graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Go Sun Devils! During her time at Arizona State University, Emily took classes that enriched her knowledge of adolescent development and disorders, such as Developmental Psychology, Childhood Psychological Disorders, and Human Development. She also conducted studies and wrote research papers in her laboratory classes pertaining to the field of adolescence.
Emily has always had a passion for working with children, as she volunteered at Miraleste Early Learning Academy for five years and volunteered at Valmonte Early Learning Academy in the Special Education Program for one year. When she was the Chairman of Assisteens, a youth volunteer organization, Emily organized Halloween events for the children of the Torrance Pediatric Therapy Network. Additionally, Emily coordinated a fundraiser through her organization and donated three adaptive tricycles for the Torrance Pediatric Therapy Network.
In her spare time, Emily loves traveling and exploring new places with her family and friends. She also enjoys being in nature and likes going for walks at botanical gardens and the beach. Emily loves being able to talk to the children and be part of their speech therapy journey at Lynne Alba Speech Therapy Solutions.
