Ashley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University. Prior to becoming a SLPA (Speech- Language Pathologist Assistant), she worked as an Instruction Aide (Special Education) for Redondo Beach Unified School District where she also completed her internship as an SLPA.
Ashley has enjoyed working closely with teachers, aides, and families to understand the individual needs of the children she served. She has worked with children with autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, articulation disorders and stuttering. She believes in fostering a dynamic and engaging environment for learning and making therapy fun, motivating, and personally relevant for her clients and their families.
Ashley primarily communicates in English but also has some proficiency in Spanish. While not fluent, she will make an effort if Spanish is more comfortable for you. Ashley is a compassionate SLPA who believes in working with clients, families, and all team members to improve the communication abilities and lives of her clients.
In her free time, Ashley likes to read and watch movies. During the summer, she enjoys camping on the weekends and exploring the outdoors.
