Chi received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University, where she received a minor in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies and graduated magna cum laude. She received her speech language pathology assistant (SLPA) certification through Loma Linda University and is expected to graduate with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Communication Disorders from California State University, Northridge in May 2023. 


Chi is a Japanese-English bilingual, and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) trained SLPA with a special interest in working with Autistic children communicating with delayed and immediate echolalia, early intervention, language delay, child-led and play-based therapy. She is passionate about creating a safe and fun environment as well as meaningful connections with her clients. 

 

Her experience within the field began as an early intervention assistant at Pediatric Therapy Network with young children between 18 months to 3 years old for two years. She learned alongside a team of a teacher, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist where she discovered her love for multidisciplinary and play-based therapy approaches. 

 

She has completed graduate school clinical placements at Pediatric Therapy Network, LA Speech Therapy Solutions, and Calle Mayor Middle School with children ranging from 18 months to 14 years old with receptive/expressive/pragmatic language delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, AAC users, fluency disorders, Down Syndrome, traumatic brain injury, hard of hearing, speech sound disorders and cognitive impairments. She is completing her final clinical placement here at Lynne Alba Speech Therapy Solutions, P.C. in the summer of 2022.
