Diane graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State College, Los Angeles with a major in Speech Pathology. While attending school, she was employed as a Children Center teacher for Los Angeles City Schools. Emphasis was on early childhood education. While completing her graduate degree, she also completed an
internship with Los Angeles City Schools for her credential.
Diane has a number of years of clinical experience with children ages 2-18. Her experience has been in various school settings including sites for the developmentally disabled, elementary and high school settings, special facilities for highly volatile and emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, and the John Tracy Clinic in Los Angeles. She has provided evaluations and treatment to children and adolescents with various disorders and disabilities in both group and individual settings.
Prior to arriving at Children’s Speech Care, Diane was employed with Los Angeles County Schools. For a period of time, she was self-employed as an owner of a small business while raising her son. Diane also worked at the HELP
Group with autistic and other special needs children from pre-school through high school.
Diane is enthusiastic about her work and loves working with children. She feels that many rewards come from seeing a child achieve a goal. She also enjoys close interaction with families.
Diane enjoys traveling, music, reading and spending time with her son and her dog.
