Josephine received her Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019 and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Speech-Language Pathology where she graduated magna cum laude in 2015 from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). She recently completed her medical internship at Lynne Alba Speech Therapy Solutions in Torrance where she worked with clients of all ages and public-school internship at Lincoln Elementary School in Redondo Beach where she worked with students from kindergarten to the fifth grade. During her graduate studies, she gained valuable experience working with a variety of clients of all ages and etiologies at the CSULB Speech-Language Clinic in Long Beach as well as volunteered at the Carson Stroke Center in Carson by helping conduct therapy sessions for adults with speech and language and/or cognitive impairments.
Josephine enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide array of speech and language disorders. Some of her experiences include working with individuals with autism, Down syndrome, articulation and phonological disorders, preschool and school-age language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders as well as adults with aphasia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and dementia. She particularly enjoys working with children in early intervention, autism, articulation and phonological disorders as well as working with adults with aphasia. Overall, Josephine is dedicated to the social and emotional well-being of each client and makes it her goal to ensure that each client receives the best form of therapy, love, care, and support that they all deserve. She looks forward to working alongside clients and their families in making this a very fun, memorable, and positive experience in therapy.
In her spare time, Josephine enjoys spending time with her loved ones, volunteering at her local church, and bike riding at the beach with her father.
