Olivia graduated from California State University, Chico where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She went on to obtain her Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Throughout her graduate experience, Olivia gained valuable experience completing her internship at a preschool (Harry H. Gordon Preschool) as well as in a middle school setting (Isaac E. Young Middle School). 

Olivia also has previous work experience as a Paraeducator (Ventura County Office of Education) and a special education Instructional Aide (Oak Park Unified School District). She has experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and of different ages across various clinical settings, such as at a preschool (San Miguel Preschool) and at a TK-8th grade school (Lemonwood Elementary School), where she worked with children targeting articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication and pragmatics, cognitive impairments, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

 

She is currently completing her clinical fellowship. Olivia has always had a passion for working with children including those who receive special education. She enjoys building rapport with her patients and trying to make sessions as fun and personally motivating to each child as possible. She also enjoys working with parents in order to empower them to be able to know and use the skills needed to best support their child’s speech and language development.
